Gold falls below $4,000, near $3,972 (30 Oct 2026)
क्या हुआ
On Friday, 30 Oct 2026, gold slipped below $4,000 an ounce. According to Trading Economics, at around 5 PM IST it was near $3,972, about 1.2% lower than the previous day. Over the past month gold has fallen about 4.9%. Silver was also down about 3.3%.
Trading Economics attributes the fall to high US inflation (PCE at 3.6% and core PCE at 3.1% in September) and strong GDP growth (3.4%), which have raised expectations of a Fed rate hike. Citing the CME FedWatch Tool, it says markets see about a 75% chance of a hike in December. Gold is on track for a second straight monthly decline in October.
इसका मतलब
This morning's post had gold near $4,000; it is now below that round number. Gold pays no interest, so when expectations of a rate hike rise, interest-paying assets look more attractive and gold comes under pressure. A strong dollar often adds to that pressure.
Many people watch round numbers like $4,000, so crossing one tends to bring more movement and headlines. It is not a level to trade, just something to understand. On days like this prices move fast and spreads can widen. This is for understanding only, not buy/sell advice.
सिर्फ़ समझ के लिए, prediction नहीं। यह buy/sell सलाह नहीं है, ख़बर पढ़कर सीधे trade न करें।
