Gold

Gold slips near $4,000, set for about 4% October drop

क्या हुआ

On the morning of 30 Oct 2026 (Friday), gold was trading around $4,005 per ounce, down about 0.4% from the previous day. This marks the second consecutive day of decline following strong US GDP (3.4%) and elevated PCE inflation (3.6%).

According to CME FedWatch, the market is pricing in roughly a 75% probability of a Fed rate hike in December. Gold is down about 4% this month and is heading toward a second consecutive monthly decline. The all-time high of around $5,608 was reached in January 2026.

इसका मतलब

Gold does not pay any interest. When expectations of rising interest rates increase, interest-bearing assets (such as US bonds) become more attractive, which can put pressure on gold. A stronger dollar also often makes gold appear more expensive.

Round numbers like $4,000 draw a lot of attention, so more activity may be visible around such levels. This is not a level to trade on—just something to understand. This is for educational purposes, not buy/sell advice.

सिर्फ़ समझ के लिए, prediction नहीं। यह buy/sell सलाह नहीं है, ख़बर पढ़कर सीधे trade न करें।
